8: Christianity
9: Sugar
Trade is most important because it was the founder for a lot of the other choices and for a lot of exploration. Most of the other choices were discovered or happened because of trade and exploration, such as sugar, caravels, advanced weaponry, mercantilism, the great dying, and the middle passage. The next important factor was the caravels. These were very critical for exploration because they were designed very well for sailing faster, and going longer distances. They were used for trade, conquering, and traveling all over the world. The next factor was the great dying. This was very important because it was what lead the Europeans to start capturing Africans instead of native americans. The native americans would die off from disease because of the Europeans, so they could't become workers. Also, most of the native american population was killed off leaving a lot of new territory for the Europeans to discover.
The next factor that was pretty important was the Middle Passage. The Middle Passage was very important because it was the way the Europeans used to import black african slaves to Europe. The import of the slaves had a huge impact on Europe in so many ways, for example agriculture, mining, money, and trade with other countries. The Conquistadors are the next factor. These Spanish conquerers made a huge impact on Europe because they conquered so many territories, discovered new foods and resources as well as people. After the conquistadors is Advanced weaponry. Advanced weaponry helped the conquistadors conquer tons of territories and empires, and could be another source of trade. It helped make Europe rich in both money and resources, and could be carried on ships and on land.
The last few are, in my opinion, some of the least important. Mercantilism helped trade to balance out and become bigger, which did help a lot, but I feel trade could of still been huge without it. However, it did keep it more organized and more included in government. The next factor is Christianity. Christianity did play a big part in exploration, but not as big as the others. Europeans tried to convert many Indians and other people they came across to Christianity, and traveled far to get them to. The last factor was sugar. Although it was a whole new resource and plantation that the Europeans hadn't had before, they didn't go out searching for it. It was discovered when they were out for other purposes. However, it did have a big impact on agriculture and use for slaves, as well as being a new part of the European diet.
